Clean and safe water is of vital importance to animals and people. The Amstel, Gooi and Vecht water board is responsible for water management in our region. Elections for the water board will be held from 13 to 25 November. Water Natuurlijk will be taking part in these elections. Please read the election platform of this independent organization.Water Natuurlijk wants its voice to be heard and for that to happen we need your vote.
Water Natuurlijk stands for a water board that guarantees our safety and works to prevent both flooding and a decline in the water table . We work to give water the room that it needs. That protects us and at the same time promotes the beauty of the landscape. We promote this goal together with the residents of Amstel, Gooi and Vecht. Our approach is thorough and makes use of the most modern techniques.
Clean water is essential for life. That applies to the water in nature and to the water that comes out of the tap. Pollution needs to be controlled. Water Natuurlijk aims for clean swimming water to be within a bicycle ride of all of the region’s residents. The toxic blue-green algae needs to be eliminated and fish stocks need to be restored.
Water is there to be enjoyed. It should be a source of recreation for everyone at that same time that nature is respected. Boating, swimming, fishing or just sitting by the waterside: Water Natuurlijk makes this all possible.
Water Natuurlijk wants water to remain affordable, now and in the future. That does not mean free water. Managing water costs money, but what we get back in return is priceless: safety, health and relaxation.
